Vanya, meaning "Wild" in Sanskrit, is a nature resort spread over 10 acres of giant trees and plantations. Just next to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, it has an outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi.
Guests can arrange day trips at the tour desk, or request for a relaxing Ayurvedic massage. The resort is a 1 km uphill trek from the base camp of the hill. Guests are taken on a vehicle from the base camp to the accommodation. The vehicle drops off the guests at a drawbridge that is folded back every evening for safety measures.
Located 2000 feet above sea level, the resort's cottages all come with a balcony, tea/coffee making facilities and a personal safe. En suite bathrooms have a shower and free toiletries.
