As Canada's largest and most northerly national park with more than 600 miles of trails, there is also a long rich cultural and natural history to explore in addition to spectacular landscapes that support a large variety of animal, bird, and plant life. It is also 1 of the 4 national parks that make up the Rocky Mountain World Heritage Site. There are 10 campgrounds with a total of 1,172 sites offering varied services. Restrooms, showers, and dump stations are available in many locations. There is only 1 winter campground, located at Wapiti. There are no water hookups at the campgrounds.
