Accessed only by boat or plane, this is the states first and only wilderness park with about 400,000 acres - abundant with marine, bird, and wildlife, and it offers some very diverse topography of ocean, glaciers, forests, mountains, and valleys. The camp areas are on a first come first served basis and are located throughout the park; some have been developed and have picnic tables, fireplaces, outhouses, food caches, and tent pads. The cabins are rustic and are rentable on a reservation basis. This campground is closed during the off-season. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
