This El Dorado County winery produces wine from their organically grown grapes. They manage their farm organically, without the use of chemical herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. They have been certified as an organic producer since 1997 by CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers) and certified as an organic processor since 2003. Their wines are bottled in recycled glass with natural untreated corks. Their tasting room is is open daily from 11am until 5pm, except Tuesday. To get to the winery from Highway 50, head east toward Placerville. Take the Missouri Flat Road/Diamond Springs Exit and turn right. Go about 2 miles and when the road ends, turn left onto Pleasant Valley Road. Continue on Pleasant Valley Road for about 5 miles. At the stop sign, turn right onto Buck's Bar Road. Continue on Bucks Bar Road for about 5 miles to the 4-way stop sign in Somerset. Turn right onto Mt. Aukum Road. Continue on Mt. Aukum Road for about 2 miles. Then turn left onto Fair Play Road and the follow the signs. To get there from Highway 16, take Highway 16 east to Plymouth (Hwy 16 merges with Highway 49). Turn right onto Shenandoah Valley Road/E-16. Continue for about 15 miles, then turn right onto Fair Play Road and look for the winery signs.
