This park offers a diverse landscape of hills, canyons, washes, multi-colored rock walls, and mesas that are ever changing in color and light. The park has geological and paleontological importance, an auto tour of an Area of Critical Environmental Concern, and a variety of recreational activities to pursue. Camping is permitted only at Owl Canyon on a first come first served basis, and each site has a table, shelter, and campfire grates. Pit toilets are located in the campground. There is no potable water. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
