The Agricultural Institute's 1st market, the Thursday market has become known as the premier shopping arena for local chefs with more than 100 farmers, artisans, and purveyors attending. Some of the offerings include organic and farm fresh produce, artisan breads, preserves, cheeses, all natural meat and poultry, seafood, handcrafted goods, flowers, bedding plants, and prepared food items. The market is held in the Marin Veterans Memorial Auditorium's parking lot every Thursday, year around, from 8 am until 1 pm. Their Sunday market is their largest market (the 3rd largest in the state) and shoppers will find an even larger selection of goods. It is open year around from 8 am until 1 pm in the parking lot behind the Marin Civic Center on Civic Center Drive.
