Years before Daniel Boone brought fame to this area it was explored and surveyed by Dr. Walker who built the state's first cabin at this site. The 12 acre site is dedicated to the state's early pioneers, and they offers picnicking areas, a gift store, snack bar and a seasonal 9-hole mini-golf course. The camp area offers 39 sites, picnic tables, showers, restrooms, and a dump station. A grocery store and laundry are located across the street.
