Steeped in colonial history with a pivotal role in the War Between the States, this is an educational as well as a recreational park. In addition to a long list of amenities and activities, this park also features various living history events, reenactments, and artifacts from the colonial era. The camp area sits along the cliffs on the river and offers 38 sites with picnic tables, grills, fire rings, a playground, restrooms, showers, a dump station, and concessionaires.
