This park is 3,600 acres of wildflower filled meadows (butterfly paradise), heavily wooded mountains, and interesting geological features such as the giant volcanic Caprock. There is also a 120 acre surface lake, the Coal Camp Interpretive Trail, various scenic trails to hike, a visitor center, and a variety of land and water recreation. The campground offers 2 camp areas with 40 developed sites plus 12 with electric, restrooms, showers, tables, grills, and water.
