This multi-faceted park provides opportunities for a wide range of year round activities and recreation, and is considered the "Grand Canyon of the East" with 3 major waterfalls, 600 foot high cliffs along the river flanked by lush forests, 70 miles of incredible hiking trails, plenty of food options, and a museum/visitor center that provides the history of the area. The campground area has a camp store, playground, pool, showers, restrooms, laundry, recreation hall, playing fields, and a dump station. There is also a primitive camp area in the lower falls area. This campground is closed during the off-season. There are no water hookups at the campgrounds.
