In the late 1930s this park gained star status when the CCC constructed the 1 3/4 acre sized, 25 foot deep artesian spring fed pool that swimmers also share with other aquatic life, delighting swimmers and scuba divers alike. Another popular draw is the underwater viewing station at Cienega. Campsites are varied and may have some or all of the following; shade shelters, picnic tables, fire rings, cable TV hookups, restrooms, and showers.
