Although located within the city limits, this 24,247 acre park is the largest urban park in America and it offers thousands of years of cultural and natural history, a number of outdoor recreation, public tours and more. This park is also home to a gondola that travels up the mountain to Ranger Peak to 5,632 feet. There are a limited number of tent and RV sites so reservations are recommended; there is no water or electricity available, and ground fires are not permitted. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
