Dead Horse Point, towering 2,000 feet above the Colorado River, offers breathtaking views of the canyon country and the pinnacles and buttes of Canyon Lands National Park. The park, at an elevation of almost 6,000 feet, is open year round, and they offer hiking and interpretive trails, picnicking, and a visitor's center. The campground offers a modern restroom, drinking water, tables, and a dump station. There is limited water here as it must be trucked in, so they ask that you fill your water tanks before arriving. Campers do not have to pay an additional day use fee for the park. There are no water hookups at the campgrounds.
