Historical, recreational, scenic, and geologically popular can all describe this park. You can pick up a trail guide at the visitor's center that will guide you to rock art panels, geological wonders, dramatic viewpoints, bubble caves, and a favorite trail takes you to an amazing canyon overlook area. There is an ATV trail system that runs through the park, but the hiking trails are for non-motorized use only. There is also a visitor's center and a museum of the Indian village uncovered here. The Castle Rock Campground is the only place you can camp in the park, and it offers a scenic setting complete with a creek and flush toilets. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
