Although home to one of the most adventurous white water rafting corridors in the east, this recreation area offers hiking trails, scenic gorges, a variety of natural habitats, and historic sites. Primitive camping is allowed at the Summersville Dam tail-waters area. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
