Located at an elevation of over 7,000 feet, this monument boasts a massive mesa-point that rises 200 feet above the valley floor with a 1/2 mile loop trail leading to an historic pool, and more than 2000 inscriptions and petroglyphs. If you continue to the top of the mesa for a 2 mile round trip hike, you will be met with breathtaking views and the ancestral Puebloan ruins. The campground has 9 primitive sites on a first come, first served basis. Amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, water, and pit toilets. Water is shut off in the winter when camping is available for no cost. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
