The property is excited to announce that we have start our renovations through the fall of 2013. The renovations have started in the first 100 rooms in a completely separate building, so noise has not been a concern for the guest rooms. But we like to like to inform our future guest that starting in September through the end of July 2013 our restaurant will be closed as well for its renovations. Enjoy 365 breathtaking sunsets overlooking Charlotte Harbor, while dining in our restaurants. Historical Punta Gorda offers cobblestone streets lined with majestic royal palms, gaslights, quaint shops and boutiques and classic 'key west' style old Florida homes. On the Waterfront Inn is the lushly landscaped and carefully tended waterfront serenity of Gilchrist Park. This park has a variety of activities from tennis, bicycling, walking, trails, romantic sunset views, dolphins frolicking, and pavilion for public use. Let us not forget the many golf courses for the amateur to expert golfer. For the sports fisherman, tie into one of our famous Silver King Tarpon, Red Fish or Snook right from our dock or charter a boat from Fisherman's Village 1 mile from the hotel. Complimentary docking facilities are available to hotel guests at our fishing dock on Port Charlotte.
