The Queen and Crescent Hotel was originally named the Queen and Crescent Building. Built in 1913 to house the corporate headquarters of the newly formed Queen and Crescent Railroad which ran from Cincinnati to New Orleans. The building- designed by Frank Gravely- took over eight years to construct and is a fine example of the Renaissance Revival architectural style of the 19th Century. Upon its opening the Queen and Crescent Building was not only New Orleans newest Skyscraper but at twelve stories it was also the tallest. After a series of owners and name changes the Queen and Crescent Building was purchased by a group of New Orleans investors who converted the historic building into a 196-room European style boutique hotel. The Queen and Crescent Building enjoys the honor of being designated a Historic Landmark in the Picayune Place Historic District by the Historic District Landmarks Commission.
This is an entirely non-smoking hotel. Click through for more information or to book.
