Map

The state's largest public use land with 640,000 forested acres also sits in one of the most diverse environments in the world. In addition to a wide range of recreational and educational pursuits, this working forest also provides a wide variety of community resources. There are 30 developed campgrounds and several primitive camping areas available with all, some, or none of the following: running water, restrooms, showers, picnic tables, fire rings, and grills. The campsites are first come first served except for 3 of the developed campgrounds that require reservations. There are no water hookups at the campgrounds.
